The basic meal has “one broth and three dishes”.
It is also known as “ichiju sansai (一汁三菜)”
Washoku is a multi-dish meal and usually organized around
a bowl of steamed white rice with miso soup and other small
dishes called “okazu”.
All the okazu dishes are usually served and eaten with
a bowl of rice or “gohan”.
Finally, they gave me what my favorite sweets to me.
